Interviews with Edmund G. Brown, Sr., Robert W. Kenny and Thomas H. Kuchel. Interviewers are: Edmund G. Brown, Sr. The Governor's lawyer. Views on Warren as Alameda Co. district attorney and as governor, and personal relationship with him; his own career as San Francisco district attorney and California attorney general, with discussion of water litigation and other issues; and state and national political campaigns. Appended: photocopies of letters and other supporting documents. Robert W. Kenny. California Attorney General and the 1946 Gubernatorial Campaign. Impressions of Warren; support of Warren for California attorney general in 1938; Japanese-American relocation, 1941-42; his own career as attorney general; his campaign for governor. Appended: photocopies of documentary material supporting the interview. Thomas H. Kuchel. California States Controller. Experiences as controller in the Warren administration; his relationship with Warren; the 1952 Republican presidential convention.
